Marking between visuals under two different filtering schemes

I would like to have a table that is under one filtering scheme (i.e. to include all projects I am analysing) to be marked based on another visual that is under another a filtering scheme (i.e. includes only a subset of projects). Is this possible in Spotfire and if yes, how can I go about doing this

If the visualization is based on the same data table then the marking will work regardless of filtering scheme.

... and if the data is in different data tables you can use relations to make this work (data table properties -> relations)
