Marking in Trellised plot

HI,

I have a trellised scatter plot. When I brush a point in one of the panels, I would like all the points in the different panels that has the same value for one of the columnsin the datatable to be highlighted.

Currently, I have created a copy of the same data table and relate the tables on the column of interest. I then create a second plot (untrellised) with the copy. I select the point from one of the pane;ls in the first plot, which highlights all the corresponding points in the second plot. Then I go to the second plot and pick one of the marked points to get the desired effect.

There should be a more elgant way of doing this. Has anyone dealt with this before or have any suggestions
