Link Template - variable in another column

I have a fewquestions in creating hyperlink:

1. {$} can be used to represent current column value. Can I use the cell value from another column (in the same table) for the hyperlink What would be the variable called I tried [columnName] without success.

2. Is it possible to use the existing web page without launching a new page each time a hyperlink is clicked, and how

3. Is it possible to put conditional statement to branch out different scenarios for a hyperlink Or, I can only do this through Text area > HTML, build a table, then script through JavaScript/Iron Python

1. This is an enhancement request. Please create Idea for the same in Ideas Portal :

2. This is not feasible in Spotfire with out of box functionality

3. This is not feasible in link template directly. You can use IronPython approach you mentioned as workaround
