Sujit Kumar
Is it possible to use Python instead of IronPython for dashboard development/customization as well For e.g. creating message boxes, etc.
Rayees Wani
You may want to check this one: Dr. Spotfire - Using Python in Spotfire X (Data Functions): https://www.youtube.com/watchv=MXhO3yG6dUg&feature=youtu.be This is expected to be included in 10.7 which may be released anytime soon. Manoj Singh
You can make use of Spotfire 10.7 version which is released now :)
Sujit Kumar
Thanks, Manoj. Yes, I checked that but it seems that even in 10.7 version Python can be used only for data functions/analysis not dashboard development. Let me know if I am missing something. Sujit Kumar
Thanks, Rayees. This was insightful. However, it still doesn't look like Python can be used for dashboard development. For data functions/analysis, yes!
Rayees Wani
Yes support for Python data functions seems to be limited forSpotfire Analyst as documented here: https://community.spotfire.com/wiki/whats-new-tibco-spotfirer-107#toc-
