I tried that, could get the markers placed correctly, but couldn't get the lines to connect these markers such that it would look like an org chart.

Have not tried though, I think a scatter plot will help here. You can use the markers off your choice. A column to define the hierarchy and use line connections to connect those markers. I will try this at my end and share the dxp with you tomorrow.

Hi All,

i faced the similar challange recently and im able to acheive some basic and simple organization tree chart in spotfire scatter plot.

attached the sample data that i used for this analysis.

Step 1: i have set the order of each team in X and Y axis co-ordinates, i have also selected the order of each memeber with this to fix where and which order they need to be placed.

Step 2: i have used line connection option to connect all these points.

Step 3 : done :)

you can use shapes for your formating option.

i have used the label option and concatenate to disply text.
