Transform separate Date and Time columns

I have a column of data that is Date (YYYY/MM/DD) and a column of data that is Time (HH:MM:SS)

I am trying to get this into Unix or something where I can get total hours for a range of data, or cumulative hours for specific data, change in hours, etc.

im not sure how to do this in spotfire. In excel I combine the two columns into one column and then get it into a numerical value.

I know I can change in excel and then import into spotfire but I want to skip that step, and the formulas aren't all the same between excel and spotfire. I need this to be in a way where I can drop in new excel worksheets.

Assuming your date is of data type Date, and your time is of data type Time, then this should work

DateTime(DateAdd([MyDate],TimeSpan([MyTime])))
