Can I create a dashboard based on different pivot tables

I am in the process of migrating an excel dashboard into a Spotfire dashboard, in the excel report I have several pivot tables that contains all the dinamyc information that I want to show in my report, is it possible to do the same thing in Spotfire WhatI want is to have report witha fix table which everytime that I select an item on the slicers it would change the information in the fix table.

Yes, you can create item slicer from a document property and trigger iron python script to update the pivot table with same or new columns every time there is change in document property value
