I dont see the tool as a heavy lift for an upgrade every 4 months. I would like to keep my current envirnment more current and trying to decide if I should upgrade using MS versions. Jens Borgland Posted October 22, 2019 Share Posted October 22, 2019 LTS hotfixes and service packs will contains fixes to defects, some stability and performance improvements, security fixes etc. New features are not backported to the LTS releases. No breaking feature or API changes are done in service packs or hotfixes either. This means that although the mechanics of upgrading to a new mainstream release and upgrading to a new service pack within the same (LTS) release are very similar there is lower risk (and thus less need for validation) whenupgrading to the service pack.
