How to access Microsoft Excel Export extension using IronPython in web player

The requirement is to provide a button which when clicked on, will automatically execute the task of selecting the Microsoft Excel Export extension, selecting All Pages in the drop down list of Export dialog to export and clicking on Export.It can be achieved using a combination of IronPython, Javascript and perhaps, Ajax calls. In this way, a user can export and save excel files locally. We can't access local file system using just IronPython due to security reasons.Could somebody help with this
