"Data table with line positions" list is not showing all data tables

I am trying to add vertical lines in a line chart. Right-click on the plot > Properties > Lines & Cures > Add >Vertical Line > Line From Data table. A new dialogue appears where the data table with line positions has to be selected. The problem is that not all the data tables in the dashboard appear on the list.Just 2 out of 4 appears and the one with the line values is not present. Why Are there any requirements that a data table withline values must satisfy I ensured that the data type used in the X-axis matches the data type of line positions values. Version: TIBCO Spotfire Analyst 10.4.0 HF-002.

I found that the "Type of data" in Data Table Properties must be "Imported" in order to appear in the "Data table with line positions" list.
