Tauseef Sheik
I'm connecting my Spotfire to Postgres database. After connecting to the db some of the functions are not available in Spotfire. I want to know if there is a way I can be connected to the database and still use all the Spotfire functionalities. I have huge amount of data and I need to store it in a database as using Excel is not a viable solution.
Khushboo Rabadia
In-database (external) connection will have limited spotfire functions as the queries for each visualization, filters etc. are executed on database directly. So basic functions supported by both database and spotfire would be available. You can import your data from database instead of keeping it external, then you can take advantage of all spotfire functions. https://docs.tibco.com/pub/sfire-analyst/7.14.0/doc/html/en-US/TIB_sfire-analyst_UsersGuide/data/data_overview.htm https://docs.tibco.com/pub/sfire-analyst/7.14.0/doc/html/en-US/TIB_sfire-analyst_UsersGuide/data/data_working_with_in-database_data.htm https://docs.tibco.com/pub/sfire-analyst/10.4.0/doc/html/en-US/TIB_sfire-analyst_UsersGuide/connectors/psql/psql_supported_functions.htm
