User adjustable date period (by Day, Month, etc) in dashboard

I have several bar charts where the X axis is the date/time. Some I have as Day, and some I have as Month. As it is helpful to see both how many items are created in a day, so we can see if there is an ongoing issue preventing item creation, and it is helpful to see by Month so that you can have an idea of overall growth of the process.

 

I was asked if instead of having 2 charts, could I allow users to see which they would like to see on a single chart.

 

Is it possible to allow user to select whether they want the bars to be broken up by year, month, day, etc so that they can refine data as they wish

 

I have looked at settings and done a lot of searching but can't seem to find if this is an option.

When you select the Date column for your x-axis you can choose from a list of hierarchies available for your date data. If you select one that includes month and day Spotfire will create a slider to move between different options and update the chart accordingly.
