How to change background color of visualization

How do I change the background color (change the "skin") of a visualization from the default white I understand best practice is to avoid colors on the background, but my business stakeholders are insistent on changing some colors.

I believe we can only change the background of map chart using picture as background.

Like Addy said, think you can only use the map chart to simulate a change in background. Otherwise you're stuck with white.

Thanks for all the input. Based on the very few references I found through Help Topics, I'm beginning to think a user really cannot "re-skin" the visualizations, at least not out-of-the-box. I can understand why Spotfire would take that position, but I'm still surprised they would enforce the white background that strictly.

Hi Guys, you can customize the "theme" by clicking Visual theme, please see the pic down below, from there you go to details, and pick the background color for title or visulization background.
