Is it possible to find difference between previous record and next record in a single calculated column

I have a table which has data for 2018and 2019for a particular category. I need to find the difference between 2019 and 2018 if 2019 filter is selected and if 2018 is selected the difference should show 0, but if I get data for 2017 then again it should show the difference. I need to get this in one column as I have to use it for trellis. Please let me know if there are any suggestions.
