Hi

I have inserted columns from external data (by excel sheet) to my existing data table. Now I want to edit the transformation which I have made while importing the columns from external data.

Is there any way to the same If so, please let me know the steps.

Regards

Bala

Well, It's being almost five years since your question but I'll reply to it just in case someone else faces the same problem.

This is possible but REALLY hidden inside Spotfire. To edit your transformations:

Click onEdit->Data Table Properties;

Now, click on the Data Table that you want to edit the transformations;

With the Data Table selected, click onRefresh Dataand choose the optionWith Prompt;

Now, Spotfire will guide you through all the configurations available for this Data Table, starting atImport Settingsand them moving to the Transformations (likeCalculate and Replace Column);

Hope that this can be helpful.

It has been many years since the question was posted, and also many years since the last answer was provided. A lot has happened since then.

As long as your data table is not embedded, you should be able to edit or remove transformations from the data canvas.

http://docs.spotfire.cloud.tibco.com/spotfire/GUID-E3B3183B-9F2F-426F-BA0C-3D88BA1B2A4F.htmlhas an example of how to remove a transformation (in this case a "Replace value") from a data table, but editing is also possible if there is a "cog wheel".
