Can not find "Data Function Properties" in edit menu

I require to use custom made R scripts, However , I can not find "Data Function Properties" in edit menu to write the script. Was there a change in recent version

If you are on Spotfire 10.0 or above, then the "Data Function properties" dialog can be navigated from the "Data" menu,

I am on version 7.8 there is no Data menu in this version. thanks for trying though. Still stuck on this problem.

Does your user account has Tibco Spotfire Advanced Analytics->Register Data Functions license

 

1. Login to Spotfire Analyst Client with Administrator credentials

 

2. Navigate to Tools->Administration Manager->Groups and Licenses-> [select the required user group]

 

3. Click on 'Licenses' tab and browse to "Tibco Spotfire Advanced Analytics"

 

4. Enable the following license (or any others you may need)

 

- Register Data Functions

 

5. Have the users to re-login to Spotfire Client and try editing the data functions.

 

Note:"Edit > Data Function Properties" needs to have a data table in the Spotfire session before you can do anything with it. You can also find detailed information about various groups and licenses in the Spotfire Client help manual.
