Diane Seidel
I am adding an image layer to my map chart and then giving the image extents in geodetic coordinates. The layer and the chart are using a geodetic CRS EPSG:3857 - WGS84 As soon as I set the extents the image completely disappears no matter how far I zoom out. What is happening Thanks
Stefan Hansen 2
An image will not have any coordinates that you can use, an image will always use pixel position, so setting a coordinate system will not work when you have an image.

Diane Seidel
If there is no CRS for an image layer then why does the layer settings include a choice of crs
Geetika Saini 2
I am not sure if your question is answered but here is my two cents. You should go in the image Layer settings and keep the coordination system to None. Now you can play around with extent settings to make sure your image is displayed as per your requirement Hope it helps - Geetika
