How to have a visualization graph % of total with a filter applied

I have multiple filters in a Text Area . This works well for most of my visulizations. I need one visulization to show the filtered value out of % Total (the unfilered total)

 

 

Example:

Text Area : Filter by Car manufacturer

selected: Ford

 

chart: should show how many Fords out of ALL cars, not just Fords out of Fords (which is what i am getting, all 1's)

 

This is probably a very simple solution but I am new to Spotfire.
