Mathijs Hooisma
Hello, My question is very simple, how to set up a data stream using OsiPi data within Spotfire X We are able to connect to OsiPi in Spotfire 7.14 using the custom data source as explained here:https://community.spotfire.com/wiki/getting-data-spotfire-osisoft-pi-asset-... Kevin Meier
Dear all, I have exactly the same question! I am interested in the requirements fo this new technology in order to use it with the osisoft Platform. Currently we are using also the costume data connector Many thanks
Dave Leigh
The way to do streaming of data from OSIsoft PI would be to use the new Spotfire Data Streams product which consists of StreamBase, Live Datamart and Spotfire. The custom data source is not really suitable for streaming as you would have to read the entire data set on a timed basis. With Spotfire Data Streams, Streambase would be configured to subscribe to changes in PI, and store those in Live Datamart. Spotfire would then automatically refresh as new values come in. You can find more information on Spotfire Data Streams here: https://www.tibco.com/resources/datasheet/tibco-spotfire-data-streams
