Filter Table and use results to Calculate new table

Hi I was wondering if I could get some help here.

I want to use a drop down list to select values that will filter a table (Lets call it table A)to a specific row.

I also need this filtered row to be used as an input in another calculation with another table (Lets call it table B).

 

The drop down list is about 5 values, meaning there are 5 possible outcomes from table A to be used with table B

Please I'm a newbie in Spotfire and can use any help

In your statement you mentioned "I also need this filtered row to be used as an input in another calculation with another table (Lets call it table B)." does that mean you want to give this as an input in data function
