Thien Ung
Greetings All, We noticed with the latest upgrade toSpotfire Analyst 7.11 LTS we can no longer open multiple Spotfireclients to work on different DXP files at the same time. Previously, in Version 7.6 we were able to work on multiple DXPs out-of-the box. How do we enable the feature to run multiple independent instances of the client at the same time If there is not a way to enable it, why was the feature deprecated and can we bring it back with a patch Thanks. Sayali Patil
Hello, You should be still able to open multiple instances of the Spotfire analyst client. What error or message do you get when you try to open a second instance
Thien Ung
I do not get any errors when this was occuring earlier this month. Now, the system is behaving as expected when attempting to open a new Spotfire instance. It launches a separate window independently as expected. The only difference since the ticket/question was posted is I had rebooted my system between then and now so maybe more memory was freed up and available for the separate instance. Sayali Patil
Hello, Closing the loop here as this is not an issue any more and you are able to open multiple instances of the Spotfire client. If there is not enough RAM available then you will face issues opening multiple clients or the ones open can hang too.
