Sorting Tables in Data Canvas

Hi,

Is there a way for me to organize the tables that land in my data canvas? Even if I can just order them in the way that I want. I have ~20 tables and they are organized in the order in which I loaded them. Id like to clean it up so stuff is easier to find.

Hello Ryan,

That would be very useful - I agree. I'm afraid that it's not currently possible but I found an existing idea for it with quite a few votes in the Ideas portal - see https://ideas.tibco.com/ideas/TS-I-6308. I recommend that you vote for that (I already did) and hopefully we'll get that feature in a future version.

The vote for that idea was created in 2018? Its 5 years ago, I'm afraid they are not going to do it if they have not done it already.

It's mainly a matter of timing and prioritization (and voting for an idea is the best way to influence that) - with ~4000 open ideas there are simply a lot to choose from. The age of the idea doesn't matter much - it's just a matter of it getting enough votes to get on the radar of the Spotfire Product Management team, who decides what ideas to implement. Inspired by your question, I have also raised this idea directly with the team of developers that would likely be the ones to implement it if given a chance.
