For a feature layer in a mapchart can the drawing order be changed to aid in the visualization of polygons that overlap each other? I know this can be done for a marker layer but cant find anywhere this can be done for a feature layer.

This is a suggestion:

It is not possible to control the drawing order in a feature layer directly in Spotfire. All unmarked will be drawn first, followed by the marked.

However, most probably the order of custom shapes from a shape file is preserved, so changing the order before importing the shape file into Spotfire should do the trick.
