I have a column with monthly data: 1/04/ 23,1/05/23 etc, which I'm trying to plot together with some daily data. Is there a e a way to create a calculated column that will take the monthly value and assign that value to each day of the month?

Perhaps there's a workaround to just show daily and monthly data on the same plot? Perhaps it only works with a specific type of plot, or catagorical date axis? I think I could plot the monthly as a step change line....

First, create a monthly column using Month([Date]) as [MyMonth], then you can use:

Sum([ValueColumn]) OVER ([MyMonth])

Thanks Kirsten, this way very close to what I was looking for, but it did the sum over every December for example.

I decided to use my daily resolution data table, import my monthly data as additional columns, plotting these as a line chart worked.

It seems like if your starting point in the database is from a higher resolution i.e. daily it will work, but not visa versa.
