Edoardo A
As stated in the title, I need to add points to a Scatter Plot representing the average of displayed points for each y value (big orange points in the image). I didn't find a way to do it, even using a calculated column.Thank you in advance!
Gaia Paolini
I don't see a way to do this. Could you use a Box Plot visualization instead? You can put your Topic on the X axis and your measure (1,2,3..) on the Y axis, and choose the options e.g. display distribution. That would give you a cleaner and clearer plot
Edoardo A
I agree that a box plot should be used in this case. I just need to show the distribution in a more "friendly" way like this for example:
Solution Gaia Paolini Posted September 20, 2022 Solution Share Posted September 20, 2022 if you are happy with a trellised plot then you could try something like this? I added a line representing the average and it is different for each trellis panel.
Edoardo A
Thank you for your help! If I could apply some styling at the line would be even better but this solutions works perfectly for me.
Brad Evans
another option i sometimes use (typically via Excel then refresh) is to: 1) create a new string variable with values "Raw" and "Average". For all the rows of data you have set it to "Raw"Then add one new ROW of data, with the value for that row = average of all the values in that columSet the string to "Average"Refresh/bring data back in. Based on "Raw"/"Average" you could change color or shape to distinguish.
