How to prevent users from replacing value for all occurrences in the column

Hi Spotfire fans,

 

I have building a dashboard that allows multiple users to edit row content in a table.

My intention is to let user change one cell value only each time. (They shall click "This occurrence only")

Is there any mechanism to prevent users from replacing value for "all" occurrences in a column by accident

I am thinking a pop-up reminder or block "all occurance in column", really don't know how.

Probably not with standard Spotfire functionality. Using an extension, or IronPython script it should be possible to provide another user interface, like in a text area or custom UI of some kind that only allows replacing specific values. This article shows some related info:
