Adding a Map Layer with options.

Hi all,

I am using Tibco Spotfire in version 10.10.1.

What I am trying to accomplish is to create a Map Chart that will use several Map Layers (e.g. borders, roads, or labels).

However, when I am trying to add a Map Layer I don't have the option to select any type of map other than the default Map Type, i.e. Offline Map.

I tried it from both Author and Analyst tools without success.

This, shown below, is the only option that I have:

 

I was expecting to have the options shown below, but I never managed to reach this dialogue:

What am I doing wrong Do I need to install any additional maps

The screen shot you have included is from the web client, that has limited map options. The screen shot from the Help documentation is what you should see if you have installed the Spotfire Analyst client, what do you see when go into your map chart Properties / Map Layer / Settings
