Append new records to an embedded table in Spotfire

I am very much a newbie to Spotfire. I've attempted to find my answer, but just not sure how to find it.

We currently have 2 files we work with in Spotfire. Each file contains 2 different sets of embedded data from the past 4 years. One has about 20k records and the other about 50k. I have been "updating" those files about once per week by replacing both sets of data. Sometimes there are very few new records, but I am spending a lot of time replacing ALL of this data. Is there anyway to simply insert or append new records to the emebedded data. Thanks for any help.
