is it possible to prevent a user from accidentally closing a visualization

i have spent a good bit of time constructing a very specific visualization, so i want to prevent anyone from accidentally closing it. is there a way to "lock" it

Try "Lock Visualization Area" and see if that works for you. Under Visualizations > Arrange visualizations > Lock visualization area.

that didn't seem to do the trick. i locked it, but was still able to close a tab/visualization. thanks for the help though!

You can hide the title bar of your visualization. This will also hide the X in the upper right corner. You can still close the visualization in the client with a right click -> close. (But this doesn't happen by accident.)

I don't have a solution for the pages...

The users should learn to use the "undo" and "redo"options ;)

Locking the visualization will onlz lock the location and size. It is very useful in combination with the page layout options to make your dashboard look nice on different screen resolutions.
