Using mods for a table-style visual

Is it possible to configure mods to work with column lists the same way as a spotfire table; with a "columns" section in the properties panel Are there any code examples of this out there

Or would you use the barchart example and just stick all columns into the x-axis

I have the same requirement but no any helpful examples from Mods tutorials.
