Data function slow performance after installing 11.4

After upgraded to 11.4, we have noticed substantial decrease in TERR data function performances. Debugging output indicates that the most time consuming part is unmarshalling parameters. It spends a good 10 seconds between "Unmarshalling 65 input parameters" and "Done unmarshalling input parameters.". Since the unmarshalling is not part of our R script, is there a configuration keyword to mitigate this The data functions are executed by the local TERR engine. Our desktop computers have plenty of horse power.
