What is the best way to replace a string or substring in a column

Hi all! Just started learning Spotfire and I'm so glad I was able to find this community.

I have a column where the values are usually in the following format (3 letters, whitespace, then 3 numbers):

ZZZ 123

ZZZ 142

etc

However, there are some cases where the value is formatted (3 letters, whitespace, 3 letters + 3 numbers)

ZZZ ZZZ123

ZZZ ZZZ142

etc

What would be the best way or expression to change the format toZZZ 123 whenever the value is ZZZ ZZZ123 Hope that makes sense.

You could use an expression like:

 

Concatenate(left([value],3)," ",right([value],3))

 

which should work for both value types
