Why can't I trust a new node on a Spotfire Server (The certificate could not be communicated to the Node.Could not trust nodes due to internal server error)

I've installed the node manager on the same server as Spotfire Server 7.7.

The node manager is running on different ports as required during installation.

I can see the node in Spotfire Server but get an error why I try to 'Trust' the node: "The certificate could not be communicated to the Node.Could not trust nodes due to internal server error"

Does anyone know what this error means and how to fix it

Many thanks!

This error can be seen if there is an issue establishing the trust between the TIBCO Spotfire Server and the Spotfire Node Manager using the certificates located under "[spotfire server installation directory]nmtrust" and "[spotfire Node Manager installation directory]nmtrust"

To resolve, the following steps should be performed:

Stop the TIBCO Spotfire Node Manager service.

Log in to Spotfire Administrator UI.

Go to Nodes & Services > Untrusted nodes

Delete the node available here.

Stop the TIBCO Spotfire Server service.

On the Spotfire Server, go to Spotfire server installation directorytibcotssversionnmtrust" and delete the certificate here.

On the Node Manager server, go to "Spotfire Node Manager installation directorytibcotsnmversionnmtrust" and delete the certificate here.

Start the TIBCO Spotfire Server service.

Start the TIBCO Spotfire Node Manager service.

Log in to Spotfire Administrator UI, go to "Nodes & Services > Untrusted nodes" and wait for the node to show up.

Once the node shows up in the "Untrusted Nodes", trust the node.

If there is no other issues, the node should be trusted now and should be up and running.
