Button to invoke Spotfire remotely and load selected AWS S3 data files

My colleague has an AWS elastic search screen/app that allows them to select one or multiple data files in S3 buckets using check boxes. They would like to insert a button in the same screen that when pressed would 1) launch the user's Spotfire Analyst client on their laptop or the Spotfire web client in their browser and 2) load the select S3 data files into memory.

All insights, suggestions, and code donations would be greatly appreciated.
