Can we mark the category values instead of the cell values in cross tables

Hi Team,

 

We have a cross table where the users mark on the cell values to select a particular category. Is it possible to provide marking on these category values (selected using the vertical axis in the cross table) so that the users can directly select the category of choice (Screenshot Attached)

 

Currently we have provided the "Alt+Click" option to the users. But they do not want the extra "Alt" click.

Any scripts to pre-click the "Alt" for the users might also help
