Summary
This component provides computation of Weibull distribution via TERR data function (for Spotfire).
Overview
Starting with failure event data (time, distance or time, event string), this component fits a parametric failure model with Weibull distribution. The Weibull parameters indicate whether the failure hazard is decreasing (burn-in failure) or increasing (normal wear-out failures).
Using expected costs for routine maintenance vs the more expensive costs of an unplanned failure, an optimal maintenance interval is then computed.
