The Well Log Chart Mod allows you to visualize the well log data. Well logs are gathered from geologic formations penetrated by a borehole but can be used to visualize any other type of data of this nature.

Well Logs are commonly used in the Oil & Gas industry to display measurements over the depth of one or more physical quantities in or around a well. These measurements typically contain electrical measurements such as resistivity, porosity attributes, and lithology values like gamma ray radiation encountered.

Data Requirement

To make the Well Log Chart work properly, the underlying data must be formatted in a long and skinny format. In other words, data must be unpivoted for the Mod to work properly.

The minimum number of columns for this mod to work are 3: Depth, Category, and ValueWell is optional and has no effect on the Mod other than filtering the data. The names of the columns can be different, but it is important to have the correct data type; Depth for the vertical axis only accepts numbers. The Category represents the measurement name (Gamma Ray, Caliper, Resistivity, etc.) and the value is the value of the measurement. The value column should be a numerical data type.

For detailed information on data requirements, the available settings, and an example of how to set up the mod, read the mod's community article.
