The Gantt chart is a type of bar chart, that visualizes various categories into time series. Gantt charts illustrate the start and finish time in time period blocks.

Gantt charts are often used in project management as one of the most popular and useful ways of showing activities displayed against time. On the left of the chart is a list of the activities and along the top is a suitable time scale. Each activity is represented by a bar; the position and length of the bar reflect the start date, duration, and end date of the activity.

Download this mod and follow the instructions below to open the mod in Spotfire Analyst:

1. Open Spotfire® Analyst, and create an analysis by loading some data.
2. Drag the downloaded .mod file into the analysis.
3. The visualization mod is added to the analysis.
4. To learn more about the capabilities and limitations of this visualization mod, read the user guide located in the downloaded folder.

Data Requirement

To make the Gantt chart work properly, the underlying data must be formatted in a certain way. A data table with at least three columns is required. At least one column must contain task names. A second column must contain start dates for each task. And a third column must contain end dates for each task. An optional column to show progress (%) may also be used.
