Statistica Products Name Changes

Prior to 2016

The Statistica product line was known as:

• Statistica Base
• Statistica Advanced
• Statistica Data Miner
• Statistica Process Optimization
• Statistica Text Miner
• Statistica Code Deployment

There were many add-on product names like Statistica Quality Control, Statistica Rules Builder, Statistica Trees, etc.. 

Starting in 2016

 The product names for the client product changed:

• Statistica Base became Statistica Professional
• Statistica Advanced became Statistica Expert Quality Control
• Statistica Data Miner became Statistica Expert Data Science
• Statistica Process Optimization, Text Miner, Code Deployment became Statistica Enterprise
• Statistica Pharma was new

Starting in early 2018

Read; functional and features included in different products. 

The product names changed: 

• Statistica Professional > Statistica Desktop 
• Statistica Expert Quality Control > Statistica Analyst
• Statistica Expert Data Science > Statistica Modeler
• Statistica Enterprise > Statistica Data Scientist
• Statistica Pharma > Statistica Comprehensive

Starting in October 2018

The Statistica products continued to be sold to existing customers and Statistica was added to the TIBCO Data Science product name. Statistica is also known as Workbench and is sold via the Data Science Author and Data Science Operations product names. 

• Statistica Data Scientist is included in the product named Data Science Author
• Statistica Server, Statistica Monitoring & Alerting Server, Statistica Live Score Server, Statistica Data Entry Server, Statistica/Spotfire Consumer extension are included in the product name Data Science Operations

Identify Commercial Product Name by Serial Number

Start by following the directions in How to locate serial number within Statistica ? 

If the serial number contains AR, ARCN, FA, or HUB this is an academic license. Stop reading this section. Read the section titled Identify Academic Product Name by Serial Number

If the serial number contains DSEA, then the customer purchase Data Science Author product with Data Science Operations product. This is a client/server installation. The client is Statistica Data Scientist functionality and the customer has the right to use one or all of the Statistica job servers. If the serial number contains DS but not DSEA, the customer purchased Data Science Author only and has the Statistica Data Scientist functionality for installing on their laptop or a cloud server. You can stop reading because the rest of this section does not apply. 

If you cannot find the first three letters of the serial number in the table below, then the product name is Statistica Data Scientist. Unless the serial number contains WSEA and is not in the table below, then the product might be Statistica Comprehensive. You will need to verify the product that was ordered. The most common three letter code for Statistica Data Scientist and Statistica Comprehensive is JRR, but there are many other codes. 

If the serial number contains CNET, this is the Statistica desktop application sold as concurrent user licensing. 

If the serial number contains WSEA, this is the Statistica product and Statistica Server was sold. Review your invoice to see what other Statistica servers were purchased. This is a client/server installation. 

If the serial number does not contain CNET or WSEA, this is a named user installation for the Statistica destop. 

Identify Academic Product Name by Serial Number

If the serial number contains AR, ARCN, FA, or HUB this is an academic license. If the serial number starts with B or A, it is TIBCO Statistica® Basic Academic. If the serial number starts with any other letter, it is TIBCO Statistica® Ultimate Academic
