Values not recognised since column is interpreted as Integer instead of String

Hi,

I have a column with half integers and half non-integers. Spotfire recognises only the integer values and the rest of the data are left as blank as a result.

How do I get Spotfire to import the values as string

(because if i do the transformation after the data is imported, I still can't get my values back)

How do you import the data

Usually you can chose the data type in the import wizard. It might be that spotfire identifies your column as Integer as the first X rows are all integers and maybe strings are coming later on.
