Limit layout bookmark to not affect Map Chart

Does anyone know a way to stop layout bookmarks from resetting/changing the map chart layers, zoom level, etc

I want some visualizations to appear/move/change on click of a bookmark button but I want the map chart to stay the same. Only way I've found to do this so far is to break the bookmark by removing a layer so the map will not refresh. This leaves me, generally, with the desired effect but is a pain to do and also creates a pop-up notification each time a bookmark is clicked. Am I missing a basic functionality that would allow me to do this easier
