Adding a User input column to match a functional row in Spotfire table

Im trying to create a live "inventory audit" / "Track WIP" tool for a production team.

I have a Information link that pulls the facilities current inventory numbers with the inventory ID of every items (useable as a primary key).

What im trying to do is create a user input screen where during this inventory audit, a user can grab a unit, scan the inventory ID label to the tool. and it save to the same row in the table as a "found" item. I.e. if ID# 12345 is row 1, and person scans that ID#, it saves that scan to an adjacent column on the same row 1. marking that unit ID as "Found"...

But not sure where to begin, any help is highly appreciated.
