Getting error message while opening the excel file in Spotfire

Here is the error message:

Error message: Unable to import data. See the details for more information.

For us to fully investigate why you are getting this error you would need to file a Support Ticket so that we can file a defect report. There are a couple of ways to get around this:

 

1. Open the file in Excel then click on File/Save As/*.csv file. This removes all of the Excel formatting and makes it simpler to open in Spotfire.

2. Open the file in Excel then highlight all of the desired data in the sheet. Then in Spotfire you can click on the plus sign (+)/Other/Paste from Clipboard.
