Method ResultSet.getCharacterStream is not yet implemented while joining two database tables in spotfire

Hi,

 

I am trying to join tables between a table in sybase and another in presto. While the queries work fine individually, when I add a join between them get this error:

Method ResultSet.getCharacterStream is not yet implemented.

 

Anyone aware of any solutions

Hi Rohit,

I think that (one or) both data source are listed as external data sources in Spotfire. If that is the case, you can't create a join between the two tables in Spotfire. As Spotfire would push the join down to the datasource level, it would mean a join based on database level. So basically a relation between Sybase and Presto.

Please check if the above assumption is correct (data tables as external). If so, please have them made 'linked' so you can create the join within Spotfire. Linked data tables means that you import the data sources into Spotfire's internal memory, so the join is executed after the two tables are loaded into Spotfire. And that should work as expected.
