Steve Phillips 3
First, I understand String-based columns will always sort alphabetically unless the column sort configuration is manually modified. But, I want my legend automatically / dynamically sorted based on an aggregate calculation (sum of oil productionby county or something like that... with top oil production counties on top and acquiring my brightest and most distinctive colors). Again, I know I could create a crosstable and sort by the oil production and then go manually resort my county names, but this is a template that I am constantly refreshing with new data - or I am filtering and want to review the information for subsets of information. As a former Tableau user, this was a simple exercise. I simply colored by county and told the program to sort my counties by sum of sales. For the life of me, I can't figure out how to do this in Spotfire. Can't believe this isn't a built in feature.Any suggestions
