Jason Dai 3
I am trying to insert a column from Table 2 (a.k.a. T1)to an existing table (a.k.a.T2), and want to match one T1 column (i.e., Date)to a calculated T2 column (i.e., LRPD). However, LRPD is listed. Any comments or suggestions Thanks! Manoj Chaurasia
Yes, that's the only workaround as off now.
Manoj Singh
You cannot use both the columns as calculated column in the Insert Column dialog box.
Niklas Falk
You need to Freeze the column to be able to use it for matching.
Jason Dai 3
Thank you all. Yes, I had to freeze the column. It causes some troubles (e.g., not able to refresh the data), but it appears to be the only way.
Amber Kuo
Instead of creating the column with Insert > Calculated Column, you should instead create it as Insert > Transformations > Calculate New Column. If you use this method, you will be able to insert the column. I use this method all the time.
Kevin Flynn
What I have done in the past is instead of using a calculated column that is added through the analysis. I create the calculated column on data load. When you do that you can use it to match.
