This file expects a programmatically supplied parameter value. Use the input field below to supply a temporary value for testing.

Every time I open the Spotfirefile this message pops up automatically:

This file expects a programmatically supplied parameter value. Use the input field below to supply a temporary value for testing.

How can I avoid it and not receive any pop up message

I have reviewed the data in case the error could come from the column not accepting null values and the column is created to accept null and non-null values.

Thank you

Hello,

Sounds like that may be analysis that is using a parameterized information link, without providing the parameter. As it's missing, and as you have the TIBCO Spotfire Information Modeler > Prompt for Parameter licence, you are getting prompted for the missing parameter (note that as stated in the dialog, that functionality is only intended for testing, while you are working on setting up the information link)

You can read more about this in the documentation:

Details on Missing Parameter Value:

https://docs.tibco.com/pub/sfire-analyst/10.8.0/doc/html/en-US/TIB_sfire-analyst_UsersGuide/index.htm#t=id%2Fid_details_on_missing_parameter_value.htm&rhsearch=parameter&rhhlterm=parameter&rhsyns=%20

Parameterized Information Links:

https://docs.tibco.com/pub/sfire-analyst/10.8.0/doc/html/en-US/TIB_sfire-analyst_UsersGuide/id/id_parameterized_information_links.htm

If you open the Information Link in Information Designer, there is a Parameters section where the parameters are listed. Example below where I added one called paramUser:

If the parameter is indeed needed for that Information Link, you need to provide it somehow. One common way of using/supplyingparameters is as input for loading Data On Demand (I don't know what your specific use case is though). You can read more about this in the documentation:

Loading Data on Demand:

https://docs.tibco.com/pub/sfire-analyst/10.8.0/doc/html/en-US/TIB_sfire-analyst_UsersGuide/index.htm#t=add%2Fadd_loading_data_on_demand.htm&rhsearch=parameter&rhsyns=%20

Details on Define Input:

https://docs.tibco.com/pub/sfire-analyst/10.8.0/doc/html/en-US/TIB_sfire-analyst_UsersGuide/index.htm#t=add%2Fadd_details_on_define_input.htm&rhsearch=parameter&rhhlterm=parameter&rhsyns=%20

Hopefully this information can point you in the right direction.

Best Regards

Fredrik
