To investigate the error "Object reference not set to an instance of an object.", would you provide below info:

1. Which version of Statistics Services you are using

2. Would you please double confirm if you are able to browse Statistics Services URL from Web Player(NM) machine when you execute the data function

--------

http://:/TSSS_service_name

http://:/TSSS_service_name/api/v8/administration/ExtendedServerInfo

http://:/TSSS_service_name/api/v8/function/sqrtx=16

--------

Note: ChangeTSSS_URL, port andTSSS_service_name as per your environment.

3. Does this error occur if you run other TERR scripts for example, a much simpler TERR script

This is just to confirm if this error occurs to all TERR data functions, or only specific to some TERR scripts.

4. Would you please share your TERR script

By the stack trace, it looks like the request is getting routed to theTIBCO Spotfire Statistics Services (TSSS) instance for processing. So firstly, check whether the TSSS is up and running.

Also, check whether for 'Everyone' user the TSSS URL is configured in the Preference section or not.

To check with the analyst as well,Tools Menu >> Options >> Data Functions and uncheck the 'Locally installed TIBCO Enterprise Runtime for R engine' and relaunch Spotfire Analyst and test.

Note: If required, you can install the Spotfire Analyst on the node manager machine and then test the things.
