David Roynan
I have 2 date columns in a dataset I'm working with - "Original Due Date" and "Working Due Date". Working Due Date contains blanks, and I need to bring the date from that row's "Original Due Date" into the "Working Due Date" column. I've tried to use a calculated column alonf the lines of "If Working Due Date is null, then copy original due date." However, I'm very green in the coding/expression aspects of Spotfire and cannot figure out how to get this to work. Is this possible Thank you! Tyger Guzman 2
You'd want to do a Caculated and Replace transformtion on yourWorking Due Date column. case when [Working Due Date] is null or [Working Due Date] = '' then [Original Due Date] else [Working Due Date] end https://docs.tibco.com/pub/spotfire/6.5.1/doc/html/data/data_details_on_calculate_and_replace_column.htm
David Roynan
Thank you so much for this. I'm getting an error saying "Invalid type for function call '=' on line 1, character 60."; however, removing "or [Working Due Date] = '' seems to be getting me the result I need anyway. Thanks again!
