The error message indicates a communication issue between the Spotfire server and the Node manager server.

Are you able to browse the Spotfire server URL (login successfully) from the machine where the Spotfire Analyst/Client is installed This needs to work only then can one connect from the Spotfire Analyst.

Usually adding the Spotfire Server URL using the "manage server" option will give a picture about connection issues.A screenshot of the error would help.

I am able to log onto the Web Player.  The error I am receiving:Error message: An unknown error has occurred.UserDirectoryServiceException at Spotfire.Dxp.Services:
